Meet Coach Rod

Coach Rod is a dedicated Strength and conditioning (S&C) coach, committed to maximizing athletic performance and preparing student-athletes to compete at the highest level. His training programs are rooted is sports science and designed to enhance strength, speed, endurance, and mental resilience.

His Methodology includes:

Performance Based Strength Training. Coach Rod utilizes progressive resistance techniques that target foundational and sport-specific movement patterns. Athletes train through compound lifts such as squats and bench press to develop total - body power, while incorporating dynamic movements such as box jumps and explosive pull variations to improve neuromuscular efficiency, coordination, and functional strength.

Conditioning for Endurance & Recovery. Training sessions integrate high-intensity interval work, tempo sprints, and aerobic circuits to boost cardiovascular capacity, enhance work capacity, and accelerate recovery between efforts-critical for sustained high performance. Coach Rod's approach bridges evidence-based training with athlete-centered coaching helping individuals push past limits and achieve competitive excellence. 

Coach Rod is currently pursuing his Masters of Science in Human Performance: Strength Training and Conditioning. Following his Masters, Coach Rod will be working towards obtaining his certified Strength Conditioning Specialist Designation.
